Stalls What can I buy? A wide range of items will again be on sale at the Petertide Fair from the usual stalls.Come and find that elusive bargain, allow yourself to be tempted at the cake stall or pick up some plants from the plant stall. All proceeds will of course support our good causes. You are bound to find something at one of the following stalls: BOOK STALL (books, CDs, vinyl records, computer games, etc) How can I donate? We want to present a tidy and peaceful environment to visitors and worshippers at St Peter’s in the build-up to this year’s Petertide Fair on Saturday 12 June. This year, Geoff Dell, a well-known and longstanding friend of St Peter’s, has generously made available a space to store donations for the various stalls prior to the actual day of the fair. This means that we will be able to keep St Peter’s looking like a church by providing an uncluttered environment for worship especially on Sundays, and for peace, and personal prayer throughout the week. It would therefore be greatly appreciated if items donated could be left, in the church, ONLY between mid-day Friday and mid-day Saturday on the 5 weekends leading up to the fair, i.e. from 7/8 May. These items will then be removed to the storage space Geoff has provided at mid-day on the Saturdays in question so that the church is tidy for the next day’s Sunday Eucharist. It would also be appreciated if all items could be delivered in cardboard boxes for ease of handling. If you do not have access to a car or have large items which will not fit in your vehicle (for instance last year someone kindly donated a full sized billiard table!) collection can be arranged through Paul Jullien on 07775 525546 or Graham Bashford on 01442 876933. Items for the bric-a-brac, book and toys/games stalls can be left under the above arrangements (those for the plant stall should be brought, labelled as to what they are, to the church anytime on Friday 11 June or first thing Saturday 12 June. Items for the cake stall will be gratefully accepted by Barbara McKenna at the church from 18.00 on Friday 11 June). Once more this year, thanks to a kind offer from electrician Tony Blair to carry out a safety certification, we are able to accept for sale electrical items IN WORKING ORDER ONLY. Any such items should be brought to the church on Wednesday 9 June, or Thursday 10 June by 10.00am. Safety inspection of the electrical items donated will be carried out on Thursday 10 June. Many thanks to everyone for their donations, and for their assistance in helping to ensure these arrangements run smoothly. Petertide Fair Committee |
